Athletes selected to represent Nigeria at the second edition of the African Youth Games scheduled to hold in Botswana from May 22 to 31 have been invited to commence camping in Sapele, Delta State in due course.Some of the athletes listed for the tournament include include African Youth Athletics Championships (AYAC) double sprint champion, Deborah Adewale (100m), Amusan Oluwatobiloba Ayomide (100mH), Etim Aniekeme Alphonsus (100m), Imogu Joy (triple jump) and Junaid Abimbola Afolakewho won silver in the AYAC women’s 400m.
Others are Ntia-Obong Mercy (100m), AYAC 400m champion Odiong Edidiong Ofonime, Okolosi
Ogenekome (long jump) and Omizi Sophiat Tolani (hammer).
Their male colleagues are Abdullahi Bashiru (110m hurdles), Adeyemi Sikiru Adewale (400m), Akinkuowo Ayodeji Oluwatokimi (400m), Edoki Fabian Ime (triple jump), Ejumeta David Oke (long jump), Iloakagbune Kenechukwu Kenneth (100m) and Nathaniel Samson Oghenewegba (400m).
They will be joined by Nwokocha Tochukwu Emmanuel (100m, long jump), Olisakwe Chukwudi (100m) and Yusuf Muhammed Kabir (400m hurdles).
The officials include Abadoni George Abraham (jumps), Bamidele Moses Anthony (400m), Nnakwe Tommie (hurdles) and Omizi Enahoro Dauda (throws).
Both Ogogo Godwin Inenemo and Vincent Chiedu Chukwudi will supervise the sprints while Usifo Maria Okanbhamanmh will be in charge of the hurdles.
Eakyns Jamse Udoh will serve as the Camp Secretary.
