Pillars take over Globacom Premier League

KANO Pillars have shot back to the top of the Globacom Premier League following their 1-0 win at the weekend over Sharks FC of Port Harcourt in a Week 27 fixture decided at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.
Gambo Muhammed spoilt the show for the Blue Angels who were in dire need of a point to
stabilise on the log with a spectacular strike in the second half of the game.
Pillars sit atop of the table with 45 points from 26 matches with an outstanding game against Akwa United while Bayelsa United follow also with 45 points.
Enyimba, who were the leaders before the week 27 matches have slipped to the fifth position with 42 points following their 0-1 loss in Ilorin to Kwara United, who now occupy the fourth position with 44 points same with El-Kanemi who occupy the third position on better goal advantage of plus 12 goals as against Kwara's plus eight goals.
Rangers remain on the sixth position after a 0-2 loss to Dolphins in Port Harcourt.
Akwa United brightened their hope of surviving relegation with a one nil victory over another
relegation-threatened side, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC of Ibadan).
The heroics of goalkeeper Dele Ajiboye almost gave the Oluyole Warlords a point at the Uyo
Township Stadium until he misjudged an aerial ball in the 57th minute leaving onrushing
striker Ukeme Davies to nod into the yawning net.
