Okonkwo lands in Libya

NIGERIA veteran defender, Chibuzor Okonkwo in his bid to raise his profile has again signed for Alswehly FC of Libya on a short-term loan.
General manager of Rangers FC Paul Chibuzor confirmed Okonkwo's deal saying that the exit of the player from the camp of the Flying Antelopes is a foregone issue.
“Okonkwo was only on a short-term loan from Oak Zeel and so any contract details between the player and the Libyan club will only be known by Oak Zeel,” Chibuzor said that "he is no longer with us as I'm speaking".
The Beijing 2008 Olympics silver medallist had earlier had trials in England, Ukraine, Russia and the Netherlands before luck smiles on him through the Libyan side.
The former Heartland and Bayelsa United player is expected to be named among the players by head coach of the Super Eagles to face the Flames of Malawi in next month's World cup qualifier in Calabar.
